You are invited to become a part of the Friends of Mount Rogers, a not-for-profit [501 (C) (3)] organization of volunteers working in concert with the USDA Forest Service and the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.

Some of the things we do include:
- Provide services and information for visitors to the Jefferson National Forest and the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.
- Help with the conservation of the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and the Jefferson National Forest.
- Maintain and improve interpretive facilities throughout the Jefferson National Forest.
- Publish informational materials and present interpretive programs.
- Promote appreciation of the great out-of-doors.
- Foster research, understanding and interpretation of the natural, cultural and historical resources of the Jefferson National Forest.
- Supply books, maps and other supplies for sale at Jefferson National Forest visitor information centers at the Pat Jennings Visitors Center near Marion, Whitetop Station, Green Cove and at the New River Valley Ranger Station in Blacksburg.
Members receive a twice-yearly newsletter, a 15% discount on purchases at Friends-operated sales outlets, and admission to the Friends annual banquet. We also have special events throughout the year.
